The rubber compound has been declared biodegradable by a scientific laboratory specialized in environmental research, in cooperation with the University of Milan, according to the 94/62 EC directive, to the UNI EN ISO 14855 protocol and related toxicological test.
UNI EN ISO 14855 determines the ultimate aerobic biodegradability of plastics, based on organic compounds, under controlled composting conditions.
The test has been carried out for a period of 180 days (as per UNI EN ISO 14855 directive law in use). The result achieved, once applied a mathematical-statistical model, proves that the product will biodegrade in about 1425 days, with a highly reduced environmental impact, especially if compared to the common rubber (100/1000 years)!
